Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 2 days a week. Typical hours are 6 AM–9 PM. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Pizza Rays at (386) 845-8400; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, pizzarays.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 86 reviews, which is a strong result for a pizza restaurant in Port Orange and suggests consistent service.

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Two thumbs up and full belly. The owner is very welcoming. Everything is made fresh and you can taste the love. Literally the best pizza I've ever had. Calzones was equally amazing. The garlic knots are incredible. I'm jealous there isn't a spot like this back home.

Stopped in for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza had a fresh, homemade taste with a flavorful sauce, plenty of cheese, and a crust that was crisp on the outside while still soft inside. You can tell they focus on quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the service was quick. It’s refreshing to find a local pizza spot that feels family-owned and takes pride in what they serve. I’ll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

This place is an easy escape from the madness of the main DB area. My family of 6 went in about an hour before they closed after a long day in the vehicle. The staff were excellent and the food was even better. Y'all, when you have young kids, they complain about EVERYTHING. Do you know what they didn't complain about at Pizza Rays? A slice of cheese pizza that was bigger than their head. You know what I didn't complain about? The price. That massive piece of pizza was $4. I can't speak to the authenticity of the style, I just know that my kids loved it. So much so that I got a slice to take with us and determined pretty quickly that I loved it, too! Subs and roast beef sandwich were also great and on a 9 day road trip, this meal was one of our best. 10/10, would recommend!

My husband and I are from the North Shore area of Massachusetts, and eating here felt like home away from home! They have the best, freshest roast beef sliced to perfection, with a homemade james river barbeque style sauce that is authentic to a northeastern 3way. Their pizza is also a show stopper, local ingredients, a flavorful and crispy crist, and no mountains of grease! The owners and staff were so welcoming and made us feel like family from the get go! And the prices are very easy on the wallet! I couldnt reccomend enough for locals and snowbirds!!! Will be coming back again!

The service was great. These people are friendly and super attentive. This establishment is conveniently located ony way home from work so I stopped in and wasn't let down. The crust was my favorite part because it was crispy. Could of used a little more sauce and cheese but it was good. For a couple slices i thought it was pricey until I found out the slices are huge. Would recommend trying. Pizza is interesting because many people like it different ways. This is new York style and has that vibe in the establishment.
